Founded in 2011 by Julie Greenbaum, The Bucks County Group of Writers (formerly called The Neshaminy Writers' Group) is a writers' group that is open to people of all ages. The only requirement is that you love to write! The group discusses fiction, non-fiction and poetry and meets once a month.
In our meeting, we also discuss writing tips, the navigating the publishing industry, and other topics related to the world of writing. We also bring in authors and publishing professionals to talk to the group.
First time attendees, feel free to listen in on our discussion. After you attend your first meeting via Skype, you can submit up to 10 pages.
Once we have finished going over the submissions, I will reserve the last 15-20 minutes or so for folks to share a poem or up to a page of fiction/non-fiction that you have written about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This can be your submitted piece for discussion for the month or just a piece that you would just like others to hear. This last part of our meeting is open to both existing and new members.
We were meeting once a month at the Barnes & Noble, The Court @ Oxford Valley, Fairless Hills, PA
However due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, please note that our meetings will take place via Skype for now.
Our next meeting is: Sunday, July 12, 2020 @ 2pm.
